The Archē Difference

The name “Archē” (R-K) signifies “beginning” or “origin.” It emphasizes our belief that education is rooted in the everlasting truths of God’s Word.  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1

Archē is more than just a school; it’s a community of educators, staff, students, parents, and volunteers. Our faculty and staff are not just educators but partners with parents in guiding students through their formative years to live a life rooted in Christ.

  • Christ-Centered Curriculum: We integrate Christ into every subject we teach.
  • Critical Thinking: Empowering students to think independently and analytically.
  • Low-tech Environment: Fewer distractions, which fosters creativity and relationships.
  • Small Class Size: The average class size is 16 students.

Learning Philosophy

At Archē, biblical standards of conduct shape all areas of school life. We believe Christ is the authority over everything and is integrated into every aspect of learning.

Our curriculum is based on the Classical Christian Education (CCE) model. CCE has been the standard of the Western world for over two millennia. The CCE model was designed to cultivate freedom, allowing individuals to learn, work, and worship according to their beliefs.

Overview of the CCE Model

  • Promotes excellence in thinking, speaking, writing, and rhetorical skills.
  • It offers a historical framework for understanding information rather than isolated facts.
  • Includes classical literature and Latin instruction in the curriculum.
  • Utilizes field trips as hands-on extensions of classroom learning.

Faith Formation

At Archē, spiritual growth is not an add-on to the curriculum but is integrated into every aspect of our educational approach. Our mission is to foster academic excellence and spiritual growth, guiding students to develop a strong foundation in their faith.

  • Morning Meeting: Each day, the student body comes together for prayer, music, and a message, which sets a foundation for the day and allows students to come together as a community.
  • Bible Instruction: Students study and memorize scripture regularly to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and how it applies to their lives.
  • Notable Speakers: Visits from guest speakers inspire students to grow in their faith, offering fresh perspectives and deepening their understanding of how God works in their lives and the world around them.
