Uniform Guidelines

Uniform Consignment is a great way to save money and refresh your child’s school wardrobe.

How It Works:

1. Donate: Drop off clean, gently used uniforms at the front desk or at C-Luv Thrift.

2. Shop: Visit C-Luv throughout the year for new items as they arrive.

3. Support: C-Luv will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Archē. The funds will support school events that benefit our students, teachers, and families.

Uniform Guidelines

• Purchasing: All uniforms must be purchased from the approved vendor list (except accessories and shoes).
• Condition: Uniforms should be clean, neat, the correct size, and in good condition (no worn or frayed edges).
• Appearance:
  • Students should be well-groomed and in uniform at the start of each school day.
  • Shirts must be tucked in, and belts should be worn with pants.
• Length: Shorts, skorts, skirts, and dresses must be no shorter than two inches above the knee.
  • Consider buying knee-length items to accommodate growth.
  • If significant growth occurs, additional uniform items may be required.
• Out-of-Uniform Notifications: If a student fails to maintain uniform standards, an Out-of-Uniform notification will be sent home.
  • The notification must be signed and returned the next school day.
  • Students out of compliance will change into a uniform provided by the office.
  • After 3 notifications, a meeting with the parents and Dean of Students will be scheduled.
• Logo/Crest is Required:
  • All tops must have the Archē Classical Academy crest on the upper left side.
  • The Logo/Crest can be an iron-on patch or embroidered.
  • Patches are available for purchase at the school office.
  • Embroidery is offered locally at 2Generations.
  • For layered outfits (e.g., jumpers, sweater vests), the outer layer must also have the Archē crest.
  • For an additional fee, tops purchased through the Lands’ End Preferred School Program can be embroidered.

General

• Hair should be combed, brushed, and tidy upon arrival.
• Unnatural hair colors (e.g., blue, pink) and fake nails are not allowed.
• Tattoos (including henna) or writing on the body are not permitted.
• Hairstyles and accessories should not distract from learning.
• Socks must be worn every day, with no words, symbols, or patterns.
• Belts (optional) must be brown, black, or navy.
• Approved Colors for Additional Items are white, navy, gray, or black

Girls

• Hair accessories (such as hair ties, headbands, and clips) must be in neutral or school colors.
• One set of earrings is allowed.
• Modesty Shorts must be worn under dresses, jumpers, and skirts.
• Leggings/Tights/Knee-High Socks may be worn under dresses, jumpers, skirts, and skorts.
  • Approved colors for leggings, tights, knee-high socks, and modesty shorts are white, navy, gray, or black
  • Dresses, jumpers, and skirts/skorts must still be no more than two inches above the knee when worn with leggings/tights.

Boys

• Hair should be kept trimmed above the eyes and at a conservative length.
• Earrings are not permitted.
• White Undershirts may be worn and must be tucked in.

Shoes Guidelines

• Required: Closed-toe tennis shoes or flat-bottomed closed-toe shoes.
  • Colors: White, black, gray, brown, or navy.
  • Accent colors are allowed, but must be subtle/neutral.
  • Prohibited: No neon, glitter, characters, superheroes, princesses, or lights.
• Dress Shoes: Flat-bottomed dress shoes and dress boots are permitted.
• Weather: In adverse weather conditions, weather-proof footwear and boots are allowed, as long as they maintain a conservative look.

Spirit Wear Guidelines

• Spirit Wear Items: Any product with the screen-printed or tackle-twill Archē logo.
• Purchase: Spirit Wear is available through the local business 2Generations.
• Spirit Wear Days: These days will be announced in advance.
• Dress Code on Spirit Wear Days:
  • Students may wear any Archē Spirit Wear shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
  • Jeans must not have holes, and leggings are only allowed under a uniform skirt.
  • Closed-toe tennis shoes are allowed.
• Optional: Spirit Wear is not mandatory; students may choose to wear regular school uniforms on Spirit Wear days.

Field Trips & School Activities Guidelines

• Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately for field trips and school events.
• Uniforms must be worn on field trips unless otherwise noted.
• Leggings may not be worn in place of jeans or uniform bottoms.
• For special events, such as performances, students may be asked to dress in specific attire.
